Join Eric Wing for an in-depth discussion in this video Adding multistory stairs, part of Revit Stairs Workshop.
- [Instructor] Well, this is new.…The way we add multi-story stairs has changed…for the better.…The thing is, before our floor levels…were not exactly the same,…we had to use a separate stair for each level.…Now, instead of specifying the top level,…we select the levels our stairs are going to.…Then if we change a level, the stairs will comply.…The problem is, sometimes you'll need to drag the floor…in and out, but the stairs will still calculate…the correct rise and run.…The objective of this video is to create stairs…that extend to several stories.…Then we'll make some adjustments to those levels…and see what happens.…
If you're using my exercise files, let's go to Open.…Let's find Multi-Story, and the then click OK.…Let's make sure we're on Level Two.…Let's click the stair button.…We'll keep it on run, that's great.…For the base level, let's go to Level One.…For the top level, let's extend up to Level Two.…
Click Apply.…Now we're going to do another U-shape like we did before,…with a flat landing.…So, let's pick a point along this line somewhere,…
