- [Narrator] In this video we're going to add…some levels to our project.…One of the first things you usually do…when you get started in a new project…is set up your various floor levels.…Now you're typically going to have…a level for every story of the building…and what I usually like to say to people is…if there's a button on the elevator,…you should put a level there.…So, levels represent these imaginary horizontal planes…that are set at the key heights within the building.…Now you can't add levels in a floor plan view,…so, in order to work with levels,…you either need to be in Elevation or Section.…So, I'm going to open up the South Elevation…and because this file was created…from the default metric template,…it only contains these two really simple levels,…Level One and Two and what I want to do…is select Level Two and I'll just roll back…one click here just so you can see…that there's some little controls…at either end of the level, so let's…talk about a few of the controls that we have…and the manipulations we can make…

4/13/2017Paul also shows advanced techniques for modeling stairs, complex walls, and partially obscured building elements, as well as adding rooms and solid geometry. Finally, discover how to annotate your drawing so all the components are perfectly understood, and learn how to output sheets to DWF, PDF, or AutoCAD.
