Adding family types

- [Instructor] In this video I want to talk about family types and specifically creating family types within our custom family here. Now where we've previously looked at family types has been when we've gone to the family types window and we've used this window to flex our family. That's certainly one of the functions of the family types window, but why is it called family types in the first place? Well as you may be aware every family has to have at least one type, but it can often have multiple types, and we create multiple types when the family comes in different variations. Often sizes but it could be other things that vary as well. So what we're going to do is we're going to flex the size of our family to our desired size and we're going to save that desired size and give it a name and that becomes a new family type. So when you flexed your family to a bunch of configurations that you're happy with, and you name that,…
