Adding extensions to railings

- [Instructor] Most codes require railings to extend at the bottom and the top of stairs by some distance, for safety reasons. So what I want to do in this video is talk about how we can customize railing types to accommodate those code requirements. So I've got a stair here where I've got the same railing on both sides of the stair at the moment. What I want to do is customize that and create two different types. This one over here on the right, I'm going to return the railing back to the post. And this one over here on the left, I'm going to return it down and connect it to the wall. Now I'm going to just pan this 3D view over to the side, like so, to give myself plenty of room for the dialogs on the left-hand side of my screen. And then I'm going to select one of these railings, click edit type, and then duplicate it. So the reason I want to duplicate it is, I want these two railings to be separate from one another.
