- [Instructor] Now that I've created a callout and figured some of the settings and got it all ready to go, I'm seeing the underlying model, as much of it as is useful for my detail, I'm ready to start adding 2D components on top. I'm going to start with detail components, because detail components are already prebuilt families that represent real stuff. You've got detail components for all sorts of little construction components, pieces of steel, fasteners, flashing, you name it. Then, if there's something that is not included with the detail component, you can draft it manually using lines. It's always a good idea to start with detail components because somebody else has already created them, and why redraw those things over again? Let's go to the annotate tab, and the detail component button is right here.
