Adding a brace frame elevation

- I suppose we've done everything in a plan view this entire course. I think it's time we start adding some elevation objects. To model vertical elements, we'll need to set up a view to do so. Revit makes it easy to do this by adding what is called a framing elevation. To get started, let's jump into our structural model. Let's go up to level 2 in our structural plans. I want to make a brace frame elevation right here. So what I'm going to do is zoom in a little bit. Now, let's go to our view tab. On the create panel, we'll see an elevation icon. Click the little drop down next to it. Notice that we can add a framing elevation. Go ahead and select framing elevation. Now notice Revit's really not putting anything in there until we come up to a gridline. A framing elevation sets its view plane to a gridline. So let's come into this bay, here. Let's pick this gridline, and make sure we're facing up and in. Pick that spot, and hit escape. Now, what I'd like to do is just double-click on…
