Adding Joist systems
- Similar to how we added the beam systems, we're gonna add our joist systems. The objective of this video is to add a joist system but first we must click 3D and set the elevation to 64 millimeters. To get started let's jump into Revit and let's go up to our Roof Plan. Let's click Insert. Now let's click Load Family. Let's scroll down to Structural Framing. Let's go to Steel. Let's go to M_K-Series Bar Bar Joist Angle Web. Let's grab a 16K2. Let's click OK. Now we're ready. Let's go to the Structure tab. Let's click on Beam System. Now the Beam Type. Let's click the drop-down. Let's grab 16K2. Layout Rule, let's set it for Maximum Spacing 1828. Let's click on 3D. In the Elevation, let's type in 64. Now let's hover over this beam and select it. Hit Escape. Let's go to a 3D view just to make sure that it's in the right spot. Perfect. Let's start filling them in. Let's go back to our Roof Level. Let's go to Beam System.
