Adding C shapes to floor stringers

- Since stringers are not normally just a 51 millimeter wide blob of metal, we sometimes need to make alterations to the specific framing we want to use. So by loading in a simple profile, we'll be able to make the adjustments for it to fit to our stairs. To get started let's hop into Revit. Let's go to a 3D view this time. Let's zoom in on our stairs. What I want to do is I want to go to Insert. Now I want to go to Load Family. I'm gonna scroll down to Profiles, I want to go to framing, I want to go to steel, and I want to go to the MC Channel Profile and I'm gonna grab C 230 x 19.9. And I'm gonna hit Okay. I'm gonna select my stairs, I'm gonna click Edit Type. Now I wanna go down to my Supports. So my Right Support Type, I wanna click right here. And I wanna click on my Builder button and I wanna Duplicate, and I'm gonna call it Stringer-C Channel C230x19.9. Let's hit Okay. Now my Section Profile, I'm gonna click the drop down here, and I'm gonna select my C Channel profile. I wanna…
