- This may seem remedial, but I guarantee it's going to be on the test. They're going to want you to know how to configure text, add text, configure dimensions, and add dimension styles. Under Projects, let's go Open. Let's go to TextDimensions, and let's open that up. Let's go down to ENLARGED ELECTRICAL ROOM. It's under Power, Floor Plans in the Project Browser. Now, I'm going to zoom in over here and start adding some text labels. Let's go to the Annotate tab, and go to the Text dialog, but notice that we've got this little Text Types arrow, so let's check that out. For the color, black, line weight, one, opaque, the leader arrowhead, 15 degrees is the one I like, but we can do whatever we want. Text font's Arial, three-thirty-seconds, width factor is .8. Now, for my tab size, I don't like one-half inch, so I want to go one-eighth inch, and I want to click Apply, and I want to click OK. Now, I'm going to add some text, so I'm going to click on Text.
