Modifying beam systems

Sometimes, stuff just gets in the way, such as annoying elevator shafts. The objective of this video is to go over to the bay that has our elevator shaft and rearrange our beams to frame around the CMU walls. I'm going to open Structural_19. Zoom into this area. Let's draw two beams. One here and one here. 200mm off the outside face of this CMU wall. (mouse clicking) Go to structure beam Let's choose our 305 Hover over this beam until you see 200mm and then pick it. Now select this one here. Hit Escape once. Grab this one at 200, and hit it there. You can move this out. Hit Escape a couple times. (keyboard clicks) Now we need to split the insides out but before we do that, we want to select the beam and un-pin it because it's part of that beam system. Un-pin it Un-pin it, hit Escape a few times Now we need to go to modify, split element. Make sure Delete Inner Segment is turned on. I'm just…
