Creating seamless material textures
- [Instructor] Sometimes the material you want in a project doesn't exist in your library anywhere, and so you just have to create it. And often you'll want to create custom materials that use bitmap images for the appearance. So I was walking through this building some time ago, and I saw this interesting wedge shape tiles on the wall, so I pulled out my phone, I took a photograph of it, and then I came back and set about to create this Revit material from this image. To start off with I'm here in Revit, and I've just got a drafting view, and I dropped the image in. So this is a copy of that image file directly from my phone. And then I use these reference planes to try and figure out how I want it to crop the image. What I'm looking for is the repeat.
