Building custom components
- Throughout the course of this chapter, we've looked at lots of techniques to customize your model and give it those little finishing touches that will enhance your renderings. And in this video, I'd like to show you another similar example, but this time we're going to actually build the geometry we need from scratch. So the example I have here is the tower element. And you may recall that this is a separate project. That's actually linked back into the main project. So we're actually in that project file right now. It's a pretty simple project. And we've got these four walls up here at the top of the tower that have these little scallop edges on the top there. And we actually had an earlier video where we learned how that scallop edge was created. Now that looks fine, but it looks a little unfinished.
