Adding welds and symbols

- [Instructor] I thought it was odd that Revit has actually added a weld to the library. I mean, why would we want to actually model a weld? And so, what? I already have a weld symbol. Well, for one, we can add any information to a weld that we would normally put in a weld symbol. So, since Revit has added actual welds, it has of course added weld tags, which of course can be customized to look like a weld symbol. So, in Revit, let's go to models, let's start a new model. By clicking new. For the template file let's go to structural template. Let's click okay. Let's go to the structure tab. Let's click on beam. Then we're just going to draw a little beam in here. Set your detail level to fine. I want to put a plate on top of that so let's go to this steal tab. Go to plate. Click on rectangle. And then I'm going to put this plate up on here.
