From the course: Revit 2021: Essential Training for Structure (Metric)
Adding piers and pilasters
- Now that we have columns and foundation walls, we can start inserting piers and pilasters. Piers and pilasters are actually considered columns in Revit. The objective of this video is use an existing concrete column and modify it to become a pier. Also, I want to check out materials. And make sure that items are joining together properly. Lets jump into Revit. I'm going to open Structural-09. Lets go down to our Top Of Footing plan. I want to zoom in on this corner here. Go to the Structure tab. click Column. Hit your Type Selector drop down, I'll grab 300 by 450, that works. Lets click Edit Type. Lets duplicate this. Call it 762... By 762... And get rid of the extra 2 that it adds. Click Okay. So both B and H will be 762... And 762. Click Okay. Now in instead of depth, lets go with height. And the height will be Level 1. Zoom in on this intersection right here, and then pick it. Hit escape…
