Adding beam systems

- [Instructor] With the perimeter frame in place we can now fill in the gaps. At our filler beams we can simply use what's called a beam system. Just specify the beam type and the spacing and you're off. So, let's go to Structural Plan Level 2. I'm going to zoom in over here on this bay. I'm going to go up to Structure. This time I want to click on Beam Systems. For my Beam Type I'm going to grab a W12X26. My justification we'll keep at Center. My Layout Rule I'm going to go Maximum Spacing. And for my spacing I'm going to go five feet. We'll keep it as System for Tag Style, but make sure we click Tag on Placement. Notice that we can tag it via System or via Framing. Let's keep it on System to see how that looks. Now it's pretty easy. The beam you select is going to dictate the direction in which your filler beams go. So if I want mine to span this short distance I'm going to go ahead and click on this beam right here and they're going to span that short distance. Now I'm going to go…
