Join Eric Wing for an in-depth discussion in this video Working with text, part of Revit 2020: Essential Training for MEP (Metric).
- Of course we can just add text.…Let's do it.…Let's jump into Workflow five.…Let's go to level one demolition.…Going to zoom into this area here…and I want to tell people why that looks…the way it does.…Click on the little "A" up there on the…quick access tool bar.…Or you can go to the annotate tab…and click the little "A" here. It's the same thing.…Click text.…Text 2.5mm Arial. I like that.…
Let's click Edit Type.…For the width factor, I'd have to scrunch…that down to 0.8 and then hit Okay.…Now that we have hit the Text Icon,…click on the two segment text.…I'm going to pick a point right here.…That's an ugly arrow head.…That's fine. We can fix it.…Pick a point here.…Pick a point here.…In all caps, of course,…we are going to type…"DEMOLISH"…"EXISTING"…"DUCTS".…
Notice that once I start typing,…we get this whole menu.…We can change the indents.…We can increase the indents.…We can do lowercase or uppercase.…We can list or we can bullet.…We can do all cap, which is kind of cool.…Oh, it says "REVIT".…Or we can just hit close…and we're done.…
