Using phasing
- [Instructor] I've mentioned before that there are no such things as layers in Revit. So then, how can we control things like showing items to be demolished, or how do we show existing to remain? Revit has fantastic phasing capabilities. We can literally select an item and tell Revit when it was created, when it's going to be demolished, and when something is going in brand new. So, let's jump into Revit Workflow-07. In the Project Browser, let's scroll down until we find HVAC Level 1, double click and open it up. Let's right click on Level 1. Let's Duplicate view, and let's Duplicate with Detailing. Let's click on Level 1. Now, soft click into it to edit it. Call it Level 1 Demolition, hit Enter. There's nothing that makes this demolition other than that name, but we're going to change that. Go to Manage. Go to Phases. Between Existing and New Construction I'd like to add a Demolition phase. So, Insert After. Instead of Phase 1, we'll call it Demolition, hit Apply, hit OK. All…
