- [Instructor] So, if you're used to a typical CAD interface such as AutoCAD or even MicroStation, the Revit interface is going to seem a little bit alien to you. In Revit, there's really not a lot of customization and what you see is definitely what you're going to get. It's this way for a reason. Revit MEP is a program that deals specifically with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing for buildings. While a traditional CAD program needs to work for anything you would ever want to model, be it a building or machine screw. Before we get started, I just want you to know that you're going to get used to it. I promise. The objective of this video is to look at the ribbon, the project browser, datum, and properties. So let's jump into Revit. If you remember, under Projects, we can start a new project or we can just click on one of these templates but you may also notice that our last model we had open is right here.
