Join Eric Wing for an in-depth discussion in this video Tagging plan, part of Revit 2020: Essential Training for MEP (Metric).
- [Instructor] What I'd like to do now…is tag this plan up.…The reason we use tags in Revit as much as possible…instead of text is the fact…that our BIM model has BIM information.…When we tag something, instead of adding a text label,…what happens is when we change the object we're tagging,…that tag is going to update.…So no longer do we have to do two things.…I'm going to jump into this model here.…Let's jump into Revit, go to exercise files chapter two,…and I'm going to open two 13 tagging.…
First thing I'd like to do…is let's go down to level one, electrical power plan.…Let's zoom in over here to our spaghetti.…I'd like to tag this home run.…We know this home run is on a circuit…and it's going to a panel,…so if we zoom into this home run,…click on this little icon right here.…This is the tag by category,…or we can go to annotate…and we can go to tag by category here.…
Click tag by category.…Hover over your home run.…Notice that we have a leader coming off the number one.…We can change that, if we want.…Uncheck leader on your options bar.…
