Join Eric Wing for an in-depth discussion in this video Copying levels and setting up monitoring, part of Revit 2020: Essential Training for MEP (Metric).
- [Instructor] It's time to start dealing with levels.…The problem is the architectural underlay…and the structural underlay both have a bunch of levels…in them and we need 'em.…We only have the two default levels in our model…and the architectural model has all the levels we need.…So what we're going to do is in this video…is actually copy the levels in from the architectural model.…We're going to copy them in such a way…though that it keeps a live monitor.…So what happens is if the architect moves a level,…we'll get a coordination alert…the next time we open our model up.…I'm going to jump into Revit, I'm going to go to Open,…grabbing Electrical Project-01,…and then I'm hitting Open.…
Now to set up levels and to view levels…and to create levels,…we have to either be in a section,…an elevation, or now a 3D view.…Notice over here what's called the Project Browser.…If we scroll down a bit, what we'll see is…we have different plans, we have different elevations.…These are all just independent views of the model.…
