Adding supply duct
- [Instructor] Revit can automatically determine if a duct system is going to be supply, return, or exhaust. It makes that determination by the types of duct connectors that are on the equipment. When we draw a duct, we depend heavily on the equipment, not only to determine the height of the duct, but the initial size and the type of the duct. To begin drawing duct, we must first locate the origin of it. That is, we must select the equipment that the duct will be drawn from then route the duct from this starting part. In Mechanical, under HVAC, let's go to 1 - Ceiling Mech under Ceiling Plans. Let's zoom in where we have some air terminals and some mechanical equipment. Go ahead and select their VAV box. And let's say we got three icons. We have an icon with a supply duct symbol and we have an icon with a return duct symbol.
