Join Eric Wing for an in-depth discussion in this video Adding fixtures and domestic supply piping, part of Revit MEP 2014 Essential Training.
Similar to HVC mechanical, it's good to have…a starting point to start modeling pipe or duct.…A great starting point for domestic piping are of course plumbing fixtures.…But here's the problem.…The architect usually shows the fixtures in their model, and…if they do that we can't connect their pipe to them.…So what do we do.…By adding just the connections to the…fixtures that the architect provides is a good…way to not have to copy all of the items into your model, duplicating the effort.…This will give you the proper systems and allows you to model a little more freely.…So to get started, let's make sure we're…in the plumbing plan, floor plans, one plumbing.…
Let's zoom in on this lavatory area.…On the View tab, click the Call Out button.…Let's make a call out of this area, right about here.…Remember, we can always adjust the call out later.…Let's double click on the call out.…In the Properties, let's rename it.…For view name, instead of call out one, let's…call it typical lavatory. And click Apply.…
The next thing I want to do is turn off the hatch pattern on the floor.…
