Working with imperial vs. metric units

- In this movie, we're gonna look at issues regarding units in your Revit projects. So, I have actually two project files open on screen. I have Units Imperial on the left and I have Units Metric on the right. And both of them contain a simple wall and door just for conversation purposes. So, as you can see the wall on the left-hand side is eight inches thick and the door is three feet wide, and on the right-hand side the door is 915 millimeters and the wall is 200 millimeters thick. To change the unit setting or to see the unit setting, we go to the Manage tab. So, if I come over here to Manage and I click on the Project Units command, shortcut for that is u + n, that will take me to the Project Units dialogue. Now, we're gonna focus on the length units but there's actually several different units you can configure in a project. So, you wanna consider area and volume and all of these different unit measurement systems that you're likely to use. Also, there's different disciplines…
