- [Voiceover] Many firms have developed customized annotations and symbology. It is easy to customize symbols used in Revit for elevation markers and other symbols. In this movie, we'll discuss customizing our elevation tags. I'm in a file called elevations. And one of the first things you notice when you use the out of the box Revit template in the US imperial installation is that it has these rather odd square elevation symbols. And if you're like me, you never saw a square elevation symbol before you started using Revit. So it's sort of one of the first things that people look at and want to customize when they start working on their template. Pretty easy to do that. These symbols are like any other object in Revit. You can select them. And then over in properties you can choose edit type, and then in the type properties dialog, you'll be able to customize that object. Now like any other object that you customize in Revit, you have a choice at this point. You're in the type…
