Why are system settings important?
- So before we dive right in, I'd like to take a few moments to talk about why system settings are important and to start with, I'd like to reiterate some of the points made in the Creating Revit Templates: Annotation course. Now if you didn't watch that course, in that course we looked at the overall Annotation objects that would be included in your template. Things like dimension types and text types and just overall settings like symbols and tags and so forth that would apply mainly to graphic standards, so I wanted to cover those first because graphic standards are kind of pervasive and cover everything else that you're gonna do in your Revit project, so that kind of leads into the strategy and sequence of this course, talking about system settings. Many of the topics in this course, kind of go in a logical order because once you establish one set of settings then it feeds nicely into the next set.
