- This movie, we're going to take a quick look at stairs and railings. I'm going to focus on the use of profiles in stairs and railings as we continue out look at profiles and there are many places where we can use profiles in both the stair family and the railing family. In addition to the profiles usage, it's a good idea to just give stairs a consideration anyway because nearly every building has some stairs, so you're certainly going to want to have some stair types within your office standard template file. I made a file called Stairs and Railings and I've got a 3D view that's isolated to look at just the stair and the railing that I have shown here on screen. Let's take a look at some of the complexities that are in both of these object types. I'm going to start with the stair. This particular stair is using the stair by component feature.
