I love to model absolutely everything, I'm also the first to admit that modelling everything can sometimes be overkill. Here's a situation where I get to illustrate a happy medium. But cutting a section through a truss, we're going to model and place some gusset plates. We'll then draft some nails and note it up. We use a blend of 3D and 2D elements to get my point across. Let's jump in to our Revit roofs file. Let's go to the Project browser. Let's go down to our roof level. Let's double click on this section right here, then open it up. I'm going to zoom in down here. This area looks pretty bad. Let's create a call out around this whole area. Let's go to our View tab. Now let's click the Call Out button, and I'm going to call out this entire area. I'm going to grab my Call Out window, and I'm just going to move my bubble up a little bit so it's out of the way. Let's double-click on our bubble. Let's change our detail level to Fine. Let's change our scale to 3 quarters of an inch…
