Trimming an extruded roof

The bad thing about extruded roofs is the fact you can't follow along with the footprint of your building. The good thing is, we can do something about that. The objective of this video is to go to the Plan view. We will then create a void where our walls jag in and out. This is going to allow Revit to cut the roof properly in Plan. To get started, jump into your Revit Roofs file. In the Project Browser, let's go to the Roof level. To see all of our walls below, let's go ahead and select our Visual Style. Let's go to Wireframe. Now I want to start cutting some holes. On the Architecture tab, go ahead and click on the Vertical Opening button. Go ahead and select your roof. Now what I want to do, is I want to click on the Pick Lines button on the Draw panel. I want to give it an Offset of 2 feet. I am going to come in here and I want to offset this wall up, this wall over. This wall over. And then this wall over. On my Draw panel, I'm going to keep the Pick Lines button selected but my…
