Pitching insulation to roof drains

Are flat roofs really flat? Huh, they better not be or you're going to have a real problem. Even with a flat roof system, we still need to somehow get the water to move in a controlled direction. Revit is actually pretty awesome for that. Because Revit allows us to add a variable thickness to a material, we can chose which material it is that we want to pitch. This video will explain how to do just that. First, we're going to set our four inch insulation to be a variable thickness. Then we're going to create high points and control points in our roof plan, and actually pitch sections of our roof to a low point. To get started, let's hop into our Revit roofs file. In our Project Browser, let's make sure we're on 03-ROOF. Let's hover over our roof and select it. Let's go to our Properties tab. Let's click Edit Type.
