Phasing levels and grids

- [Instructor] In this video, I want to talk about how levels and grids respond to phasing. So the simple answer is that they don't. The parameters of phase created and phased demolished do not apply to data elements like levels, grids or reference planes. So we need another solution to control those across the various views in our phased project. So I've got a simple scenario here to illustrate what I mean by that. If we consider the right hand side of this plan, that is our new construction and we've got grids 1, 2, and A and B. Now those grids only need to occur at the starting at phase one new construction, when we start building that addition. On the left hand side, I just drew a couple of grid lines in there, E1 and E2, for illustration purposes. But we might have grids that pertain to the existing structure that we want to show all the way through, particularly if that part of the structure is not being demolished.…
