Model object tags
- There's some debate as to whether the best strategy is to have your Template pre-loaded with custom content items or have project teams load them when needed. In Revit you can Tag almost any object. So while both approaches to content certainly have merit, when it comes to Tags I think it makes good sense to have your common Tags loaded. If your standard documentation package always includes Door Tags and Window Tags and Wall and Furniture Tags, why not just have them pre-loaded? This saves the team valuable time and effort when they are ready to Tag those elements. Now, you may use a different strategy with other objects like your model elements but I think for Tags, that's probably the way to go. It's real easy to tell which Tags are loaded in a couple different ways. The first way is when it comes time to Tag. So this is what the experience your users will have if a Tag is not loaded.
