Managing wall types

- Walls are an important part of any project. So what is the best way to standardize them? Well, since walls are system families there are really only two ways you can manage them. Place all the walls that your firm needs in your template file, or create a separate library or warehouse file to house them. There are pros and cons to each approach, and in this movie we'll explore and discuss both methods. So let's start by a quick review of system families, you should already be familiar with the concept, but just to be sure, system families are a collection of families that are built into the Revit system. You can I cannot change them. So what it means to be a wall or what it means to be a roof or a ceiling, that's pre-defined in Revit, and it's already built in. So all of the wall families that we'll ever have, are already part of Revit, and they're already part of our template.
