- [Instructor] When drawing in our front porch,…we need to draw in first the floor,…then any of the structural supports for that porch.…So let's begin by drawing in the floor of the front porch.…Let's start by zooming in to the lower left-hand side…of our building, then, underneath the Architecture tab,…since we're drawing a floor, we need to select Floor.…Underneath Properties here on the Type Selector list,…verify that you have Deck highlighted.…
That means that we're drawing a deck material…for our front porch.…As for the level that's associated with this deck,…since this will just be a slight step down…from the first floor of our house,…we want to make sure that the level is set at First Floor,…and that slight step-down will be the Height Offset.…And in this case, if it isn't already set…to negative four inches, change it to negative four inches.…Now, I want to start the deck here…at the corner of our building.…
So select on the Line tool, click the intersection here.…Draw a line down six feet.…Then, I know from previous calculations that we want…
