Creating the interior walls for the basement level, part 1

- [Instructor] When you draw walls on a basement they can either be structural or not be structural. Now, one of the kinds of walls that is a structural wall is often items referred to as being a bearing wall. And that will be the first kind of wall that we want to draw in. But to find out where that actually needs to be at, we first need to come up here to the Annotate tab, and then select on Detail Line, so we can draw in the basic location of where it needs to be. Now, I know from doing some math earlier on that the maximum distance away that this bearing wall can be from this outside foundation wall is 19 feet, six inches into the building. So, what I want to do is just somewhere along the wall click, and then from there on the structural face of this concrete wall, come straight down and type in 19 foot, six. Hit the enter key on the keyboard, then draw a line that goes straight over like this, hit the escape key a couple of times to get out of the drawing, select on the line…
