Join Paul F. Aubin for an in-depth discussion in this video Creating a door swing, part of Revit: Family Curves and Formulas.
…In the previous movie, we reviewed the process of…how to create parametrically driven rotation in a Revit family.…And it involved using a reference line and an angular parameter.…And perhaps the most common use of rotation in an architectural family…at any rate, would be something like, controlling the swing of a door.…So, in this movie I'd like to take what we built in the previous…movie and begin applying that to a…practical application of controlling a door panel swing.…So, I'm in a file called door panel…and it's provided with the exercise files and it's…really just a saved copy of where we left off at the end of the last movie.…
So I'm going to start here in the floor plan and…in this movie I'm just going to do the set up.…And get us to the point where we're ready to add geometry.…And then in the next movie, we'll finish…it up by adding the actual door panel, geometry.…So what I want to do here is clean up this view…a little bit and remove the things that I don't need.…So let me start by enlarging this view just…
