Creating a custom mullion

- Revit stops pretty short when it comes to supplying mullions. That's okay, because after watching this video, you'll know how to make your own. The objective of this video is to create a brand new family. This family will be a simple profile that is categorized as a mullion. We will then load it into our project to get ready for installation. So to get started, let's open up our Curtain Walls model. I'm going to click the R drop down. Now once my menu flies out, I'm going to go New, I'm going to go Family. My Family is going to be a Profile Mullion. Once Profile Mullion is selected, click Open. Now here's what we're going to want to do: our mullion is going to face this way, and as we can see, Center Front/Back Reference Plane, and they give you some clues. "Curtain panels are trimmed to where the profile sketch intersects the Center (Front/Back) Ref Plane" which is this. So if we have a line out here, or out here, our Curtain Panel is going to be cut back to that line. So let's get…
