Creating a coffered ceiling
- [Instructor] Currently I'm in the First Floor reflected Ceiling Plan view. And I want to now add a coffered ceiling to this bedroom area. Click inside of the view and then just spin the wheel of the mouse. Now what a coffered ceiling is, is that it's a rectangular ceiling, around this perimeter here with a higher ceiling here in the middle. And then what ends up making up that gap between the lower ceiling, around the perimeter, and the higher ceiling in the middle, are wall structures, or a soffit that actually goes straight up and then connects those two ceilings together. So let's go through the process of creating a coffered ceiling. Underneath the architecture tab we first go to ceiling. Now we want to make sure that the level is first floor, with a height offset with perimeter ceiling will be eight feet tall, and that's the same height as the ceiling throughout this first floor.
