Creating a Dutch hip roof

Another style of Dutch roof is a hip. It's the opposite of the Gable Dutch in every way, but cool looking nonetheless. It is also constructed in Revit in an identical fashion. This video will have us combining two different roof styles, stacked one on top of the other. We will then combine the two roofs to create a seamless roof pitch. So to get started lets jump into our Rabbits Roof model, or whatever model you may be working in. Let's jump down to our roof level, in our Project Browser under Floor Plans. First thing I want to do is create a gable roof. Let's go to the Architecture tab. Let's go to Roof by Footprint. On the Draw panel, make sure our Pick Walls is selected. On the Options bar, let's define slope. For Overhang let's make it 2 feet. I'm going to hover over my horizontal wall and I'm going to hit my Tab key. Once all the walls are selected and you see our alignment line appear around the outside of our building, go ahead and pick it. Let's hit Escape a couple times…
