Configuring project north

- In this movie we're going to look at another aspect of orientation of your project, specifically, Project North. Now, there's actually two north directions in a Revit project, there's Project North and there's True North. We're going to focus on the Project North here first. Project North is a convenient orientation of the project with respect to how you're actually going to view and present it. So in other words, how does it view on your computer monitor and how will you present it when you send it off to other recipients, like on sheets of paper or in a PDF or something like that? So if you think about it, whatever the predominant axis of your building is, it should probably be oriented parallel to the title block or parallel to your computer screen. So in this case, you can see I have these three walls and they're predominantly horizontal in orientation and so that kind of matches the typical orientation of a computer monitor, which is horizontal and most likely the sheet of…
