Join Brian Myers for an in-depth discussion in this video Adding windows to the project, part of Revit Architecture: Designing a House.
- Now let's start adding windows to this project.…And let's begin by adding a window…down in the basement area.…So I'm going to zoom in here to the back wall…where we have our bedroom.…Underneath the architecture tab there is an option…here for window and if you select on window,…you'll notice that there's really only one…window that's currently loaded in and it's…a 36 by 72 double hung with trim.…Now that's plenty large enough for…what's called an egress window,…meaning that in case there's a fire or some sort of…an emergency and you're not able to get out the door,…you can then just escape out the window…in order to get out of the building.…
Now the exact location of this window,…at the moment, is still a little bit unknown.…But as best as we can let's just try to…center this window here along this space.…So once it gets to be five foot two by five foot two,…click in order to place where that window needs to be.…But one thing that I do know is that this window really…needs to be six foot off of the corner of the building.…
