- [Instructor] Let's spin our 3-D view around so that we can take a look at our front porch area. So just click somewhere here inside of our view, hold down the Shift key and the wheel, and then slowly move your mouse until we can see the front of our building. What I want to do is actually frame around from basically this edge of our house over, tie into the column, come across, come back in, tie back into this back wall right here, as well as frame across here, tie into the column, come across, and then tie back into this wall. The reason why I want to frame around each one of these areas is that by framing around these areas, this will be how we actually end up hoping to support the roof up above. Now that may not be exactly true. In reality, there's a very good chance you would end up using trusses across the main body of this roof and then maybe do what's called stick framing, which is individual boards, to actually help support some of the roof up above in these areas above the…
