Adding railings
- [Instructor] This video I want to look at adding railings. There's two ways we can add railings. We can create freestanding guardrails or we can add them to existing stairs and ramps. So I'm in a second floor plan and I want to start by adding a guardrail to the edge of this floor slab that looks down into that open space below. So on the architecture tab, I'll click the dropdown next to the railing button and choose sketch path. So you use this method when you want to create freestanding guardrails. Now, I could just start drawing using the draw shapes that are available right here. But one of the shapes that I really like to use is the pick lines option. When I choose pick lines, that's going to allow me to actually, with a single click trace over existing geometry. Now, I don't want to put my sketch line right there on the edge of the floor, I'd like to actually offset it away from there just a little bit. So…
