Adding extensions to railings

- [Instructor] In this video I want to talk about some of the railing settings, specifically in the railing type dialog. And I'm going to focus very specifically on railing extensions. Now railing extensions allow you to create a railing type that meets local building codes, so it'll have the extension past the end of the railing for safety purposes. So to do so, I've got a file here with two railings and I want to show you a couple different variations of railing extensions. The first thing I want to point out is that railing here on the left is set to 900mm pipe and so is the one on the right. Since all of the changes we're going to make are going to occur at the type level, if I start making changes it'll apply on both sides. So the first thing I want to do is select the rail here on the left. I'll click Edit Type and I want to duplicate it. There's a number two here, I'll remove that and give this one a suffix called Wall Return and click OK. I'll select the other railing now…
