Adding doors and windows
- [Instructor] Once you have your wall layout, you'll usually want to add doors and windows next. So let's take a look at the process for adding doors and windows here in this video. So I'm going to start with the door command. And the first thing that you're going to notice is that if you try and place a door, it's going to give you a message that says click on a wall to place a door. So doors are what we call hosted elements and they require a wall host. So the door won't actually appear until you move your mouse nearby a wall. And then it could go on any wall in your file but until you actually select a wall, you won't be able to place it. Now before I go ahead and start placing that, let me make sure I'm placing the right type. So here on the properties palette, I'm going to open up my type selector and I currently have three different families to choose from in this particular file. I have a bi-fold door family here with several sizes, I have an interior single-flush wood panel…
