Adding columns
- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to add some columns to our project model here. So, usually you want to start with grids. You can see here that I have some grids already laid out and then the next step is usually to add some columns to those grids. Now we actually have two different kinds of columns that we can work with in Revit. If you look at the Architecture tab here on the Build panel, you can see a dropdown on the Column button, and the two types are Structural Column and architectural column or Column Architectural. I'm going to start with the architectural columns first, so let's choose that. Then if we look over here on the Properties palette at the top, on the type selector, you can see that I have a single family loaded called M_Rectangular Column. That column has three different sizes. I'm going to choose the largest size here, the 610 millimeter square column. You can place these things anywhere you like.
