About the exportfs file

- [Instructor] The /etc/exports file lists all exported file systems on the server. There's a few things we need to know before we create our own. Firstly, blank lines in the file are ignored, comments start with a hash. All lines that begin with a hash are also ignored. To wrap lines that are too long, use a backslash. There should only be one export per line. When exporting a shared to more than one host, you'll want to separate the host identifiers with a space. Any other characters will cause issues. Any options for the export, such as read, write, need to be placed in parenthesis after the host identifier. This allows us to export a share with different options for each host. The format of an export includes the location in the local file system in the first column. The second column would include the host identifier. This can be a host name, an IP address, an NIS net group, or even wildcards and character classes which I'll show later. Following the host identifier with no space…
