Join Matt Piper for an in-depth discussion in this video Using the ReGroove Mixer, part of Up and Running with Reason 7.
One powerful tool in Reason that we…haven't talked much about is the ReGroove Mixer.…Earlier in the course, we did see it for a moment…as it applies to shuffle buttons on certain devices, such as Redrum.…So I've programmed a simple beat into Redrum that sounds pretty robotic.…Let's just hear it.…And then if we turn on shuffle.…And the amount of shuffle that's applied is controlled in the ReGroove Mixer.…And here's the button we use to launch the ReGroove Mixer.…Turning up the global shuffle amount…turning it down.…But the ReGroove Mixer can do so much more.…
Turn off that Shuffle, and turn off the Pattern Section.…And let's see some sequencer here.…I'm going to Copy Pattern to Track.…Okay, so now I have the midi information here for those drum hits.…And let me show you a neat trick here, that's going to help us.…F8 opens the Tool Window and I'm going go to the Sequencer…tools, and down at the bottom, I have extract notes to lanes.…And one of the things I can do here once I select that clip, is make it explode.…
