Join Matt Piper for an in-depth discussion in this video Preparing your song for collaboration with another producer or for a mastering engineer, part of Learning Reason 7.
Well our mix is almost done and ready for mastering.…Before we get into any of that, I want to…talk about ways to share this file and share this music.…And there are different ways to do this depending on what your purpose is.…So lets go to the Reason file menu…and lets look at the songs self contain settings.…Now this is somewhere you would want…to go if you were going to share the Reason song file with somebody…else, someone else who uses Reason and here is where would be listed…all of the refills and samples that are used in the file.…
As it happens, this file is completely…audio only, there are no sound libraries used.…The Reason Factory sound bank's not used, there are no samples…that I've brought in but if there were they would be here…and I would have an opportunity to check them off and make…sure that the sounds used from those libraries are included in the…Reason song file that I give to my friend or fellow producer.…If I don't do that and I used some sound that he or she doesn't…have access to they'll get an error message…
