Join Matt Piper for an in-depth discussion in this video Mixer overview: Part two, part of Learning Reason 7.
In the previous video, we looked at the input…section and the dynamic section of the channel strip.…And now we'll look at the EQ section.…Next we have EQ, and I actually would like to…play a little bit of music when I demonstrate the EQ.…And before I do that, I want to take a quick look at the rack.…Because I'd like to make a special connection in the rack.…Okay, I'm going to scroll…up here. And press Tab to flip the rack around.…By default, the master output is connected to the…first available pair of outputs on your sound card.…
And if we were to open this, you could see that that's the case.…This represents the first pair of available…outputs on the sound card that I'm using.…Now I'm going to connect this, instead of to…the master out, I'll have the control room…output going to those outputs of my sound card.…And I'll talk more about the reason I've done that…later, but for now I just want you to know that…as I scroll down here I can turn down the…control room output without affecting any other components of my mix.…
