Effect sends

Effect sends: Learning Reason 9
Effect sends: Learning Reason 9

Send effects are used for sending audio signal from several audio channels to a single effects device. In hardware based studios, this was very important since it allowed the purchase of a single device (such as a reverb) rather than several devices, one for each channel. In software, send effects provide the same economy, but the savings are in CPU cycles instead of in money and physical space. Audio engineer and music producer Matt Piper shows you how to connect send effects to the mixer in Reason 9, and how to easily send the audio signal from individual mixer channels to the send effects.
